An evergreen shrub with attractive, long narrow purple-bronze leaves and small red flowers followed by papery capsules in the spring and summer.
It makes an attractive hedge or screen, and can also be used as an ornamental. The purple hop bush is a fast growing shrub which will bring a splash of colour to any garden.
