Native to Central and South America. This frost sensitive plant is grown for its striking dark purple foliage. The rich colour is darkest in full sun, and makes a dramatic accent in sunny gardens.


They also make an excellent hedge and can be used as a beautiful foliage contrast against other plants and flower borders.
