Plants require ample, but not excessive, fertilizer during the growing season. There is a need for essential elements such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to be supplied in a controlled release form so that the fertilizer is not being wasted in the dormant seasons and is available throughout the growing seasons.
Slow Release Fertilizer – General Purpose
coating, which controls nutrient release for specific time periods. The time of release is determined by the thickness of the coating and is influenced by the temperature of the soil.
This is important because plant growth is also largely dependant on temperature, which means that the fertilizer will be releasing in synchronisation with the plants’ needs. The release is essentially unaffected by soil type, moisture level, pH or microbial activity.
Debcote provides up to three months’ controlled-release feeding for plants, and is suitable for most plants including
vegetables, flowers, trees and shrubs, lawns, pots and hanging
baskets. It is a safe and easy to use formulation that can be
applied during any season.
Each tub contains enough fertilizer to feed 80 young plants.
Place 1 teaspoon around each plant after planting
Debcote granules contain the following nutrients
Nitrogen (N) – 19%
Phosphorus (P) – 2.6%
Potasium (K) – 10%
This General Purpose fertilizer is ideal for most plants but is
not suitable for some natives such as Banksias and Grevilleas.
