Hedera canariensis is a vigorous climber with bright, glossy, variegated green leaves and smooth, deep red leaf stalks. The three-lobed leaves are 10 to 13cm (4 to 5in) long and triangular shaped.

The Canary Island Ivy grows well in most areas of Australia, and is used extensively all over the world as a groundcover. Hedera canariensis is a vigorous climber with bright, glossy, variegated green leaves and smooth, deep red leaf stalks. The three-lobed leaves are 10 to 13cm (4 to 5in) long and triangular shaped.
Uses:
Please be aware that Ivies are very vigorous plants, which must be controlled by regular pruning. Also, Once attached to a masonry wall the clinging roots are difficult to remove it is a vigorous evergreen climber, which supports itself by means of aerial roots. Great for covering brick walls and fences, it’s able to cling easily smooth surfaces without the need for a trellis or wire setup and it can be easily clipped and trimmed to shape.
