Item Description Name   Common Name: Longleaf Mat Rush Botanical Name: Lomandra Longifolia   Size   These plants are about 12 - 15cm in height Each plant comes in its own 50mm (2") pot   This variety can grow to about 70cm tall and clumping wide.    Description/Uses   Native to Australia. This is an extremely versatile and hardy plants that will grow almost anywhere. On warm summer days the flower spikes produce a pleasant perfume. The leaves are strap-like forming tussocks. It will grow nicely in containers and as is common for the Lomandra species, is an important stabilizing plant for river banks and streams.   Also useful as an ornamental grass in native gardens or for use in borders along driveways, the blooms also look great in floral arrangements. It grows very well in almost all areas.   Care and Maintenance Low water use Full Shade to full Sun Low maintenance Longifolia will accept waterlogged or dry soils, full sun or heavy shade, frost down to around -7 °C and tropical areas. All our plants are established in their pots and are ready to plant straight into your garden or a larger pot.   Water well each day for 2 - 3 weeks after planting.
