Item Description Name   Common Name: Purple Fountain Grass Botanical Name: Pennisetum advena Rubrum   Size   These plants are about 12 - 15cm in height Each plant comes in its own 50mm (2") pot   This variety can grow to about 1.5m tall and 1.2m wide.    Description/Uses   The exceptionally showy and popular, ornamental, perennial grass grows in dense clumps of burgundy coloured foliage, with arching purple flower plumes in summer.   Decorative and durable as a landscape specimen or group planting, and excellent in containers. Striking colour accent in perennial beds, road and parking lot borders, and offers good erosion control on embankments.   Care and Maintenance Low to medium water use Semi shade to full sun Low maintenance Grow in fertilised, free draining soil for best results. Once established, tolerant of high temperatures, humidity, wind, drought, and able to withstand light frost. All our plants are established in their pots and are ready to plant straight into your garden or a larger pot.   Water well each day for 2 - 3 weeks after planting. Plant about 3 per meter for a border planting
