Item Description Name   Common Name: Little Gem, Dwarf Southern Magnolia Botanical Name: Magnolia Grandiflora Dwarf Form   Size   These plants are about 15 - 20cm in height Each plant comes in its own 75mm (3") pot   This variety can grow to about 8 - 10m tall and 3 - 4m wide.    Description/Uses   Often used as a striking garden specimen, Little Gem can also serve as a dense screen or windbreak. It's ease of growth and carefree nature make the Little Gem ideal for the low-maintenance landscape. They are tolerant of pruning and can be shaped into a screen or hedge of almost any form.   Huge, 8-inch-diameter, waxy, fragrant, white blossoms open to perfume the entire garden in late spring and sporadically throughout summer.   Care and Maintenance Low to medium water use Semi shade to full sun Low maintenance Requires minimal after care and is relatively insect and disease free. Mulch to keep the roots cool and moist and give and occasional deep soaking in prolonged dry weather. All our plants are established in their pots and are ready to plant straight into your garden or a larger pot.   Water well each day for 2 - 3 weeks after planting. Prune and fertilze in late winter.
