Item Description Name   Common Name: Bloodleaf, Beefsteak Plant Botanical Name: Iresine Herbstii   Size   These plants are about 10 - 15cm in height Each plant comes in its own 50mm (2") pot   This variety can grow to about 1 - 1.5m tall and 1m wide.    Description/Uses   Native to Brazil, bloodleaf or beefsteak plant is known for its stunning ornamental foliage is used as a potted plant in temperate areas and a border plant in subtropical and tropical areas. They can also be used as an excellent accent or border plant and look their best in light shade.   Bloodleaf will provide a spectacular show of foliage color throughout the season. Leaf color varies from a dark purple to beet red with magenta veins.
