Name

 

Common Name: Dwarf Sacred Bamboo

Botanical Name: Nandina Domestica Nana

 

Size

 

These plants are about 10 - 15cm in height

Each plant comes in its own 50mm (2") pot

 

This variety can grow to about 60cm high and 60cm wide. 

 

Description/Uses

 

Native to the region from India to Japan, this small shrub has foliage that turns lime green to crimson red in autumn. They are drought tolerant and can be used to make a stunning border, trimmed as a hedge or planted on its own as a ornamental shrub.

These plants are very low maintenance and very hardy. They can be left to grow naturally or be trimmed as desired. They tolerate most conditions including coastal air, frost and drought.

All our plants are established in their pots and are ready to plant straight into your garden or a larger pot.

 
  • Water well each day for 2 - 3 weeks after planting.
  • To make a great border, plant them about 30cm apart

  • Place one handful of the feed or a small handful of slow release fertilizer around the new plant once planted
