Name

 

Common Name: Camellia ‘White Doves’

Botanical Name: Camellia sasanqua ‘Mine-no-yuki’

 

Size

 

These plants are about 10-12cm in height

Each plant comes in its own 50mm (2") pot

 

This variety can grow to about 3 - 5m tall and 1.5m wide. 

 

Description/Uses

 

The Mine-no-yuki is Native to China and Japan, this profuse flowering camellia produces beautiful snow white flowers that are quite showy in autumn. Its perfect as a flowering hedge or privacy screen or can be left to grow in a pot.

Plant a bit higher than usual to ensure adequate drainage. Maintain a good layer of mulch to protect shallow roots and conserve moisture. Fertilize after blooming.

All our plants are established in their pots and are ready to plant straight into your garden or a larger pot.

 
  • Water well each day for 2 - 3 weeks after planting.
  • Place small amount of slow release fertilizer around the new plant once planted

  • To make a great screen, plant them about 1mtr apart. Trim the tops to allow them to flush out

  • Fertilise at the beginning Autumn
