Item Description Name   Common Name: Jacaranda, Blue Jacaranda Botanical Name: Jacaranda Mimosifolia   Size   These plants are about 15 - 20cm in height Each plant comes in its own 75mm (3") pot   This variety can grow to about 15m tall and 8m wide.    Description/Uses   The jacaranda is a large deciduous tree with large, fine-textured, fern-like leaves. The tree itself is very attractive even when not in bloom and it does exceptionally well as a houseplant in colder climates. These also make excellent potted patio plants or even grow as unique bonsai specimens   The Jacaranda puts on a spectacular flowering display in spring to summer when the blue-purple flowers appear in large panicles and literally cover the tree   Care and Maintenance Low to medium water use Semi shade to full sun Low maintenance Jacarandas flourish well in sandy, well-drained soils. They will withstand brief periods of frost but prefer a warmer climate All our plants are established in their pots and are ready to plant straight into your garden or a larger pot.   Water well each day for 2 - 3 weeks after planting.
